Meet Jamaica Goslinga Realtor | SRES

Jamaica Goslinga Agent
With a background in sales and senior focused healthcare, helping people has always been at the heart of what I do. I bring a cheerful, personal, and hands-on approach to real estate, taking the time to listen, communicate clearly, and make every client feel supported from beginning to end. I love helping buyers find a place that truly feels like home, whether it is their first home, forever home, or the perfect fit for their next chapter. Going above and beyond comes naturally to me, from pulling weeds before a showing to helping a client get their power turned on after closing. As a Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®), I also have the knowledge and experience to understand the unique needs of older adults and their families when making an important move. Outside of real estate, I enjoy spending time with my family, fishing, traveling, music, the outdoors, and live entertainment. For me, real estate is about more than homes, it is about helping people and building relationships that last beyond closing.

HOME BUYING QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

How much do I need for a down payment on a home?

The amount you need for a down payment depends on your loan program, qualifications and financial goals, but 20% down is not always required. Some conventional loans may allow as little as 3% down, FHA loans as little as 3.5%, and eligible VA or USDA buyers may qualify for no-down-payment financing.

Eligible buyers may also qualify for Florida Housing or local city and county programs that help with down payments and closing costs. Programs may be available to first-time buyers, income-qualified households, veterans and certain workforce professionals. Assistance can take the form of a grant, forgivable loan or deferred second mortgage. Some programs require repayment when the home is sold, refinanced or paid off.

Eligibility, funding and program terms vary, so I can connect you with an approved lender who can explain your options and determine what assistance may be available to you.
